About the Isle of Man
The Isle of Man is located in the middle of the Irish Sea less than 60 miles from the North West of England and has an area of about 227 square miles. The Isle of Man resident population in the April 2001 Census was 76,315. The Island benefits from excellent travel and communication links to Ireland, the British Isles and further international destinations.
The Isle of Man is a crown dependency of Great Britain and is not, nor does it currently have plans to become, a member of the European Union.
